Privacy Policy

This policy covers what "The Desk by Satin Co." collects, why, and how it's protected. We built this app to help you stay organized — not to sell your data, and not to collect more than we need to make it work.

What we collect

• Account info: your email address (used only to sign you in).
• Profile info you choose to add: name, age, pronouns, gender identity, a personal motto, an avatar photo or generated avatar, theme preference, and timezone. All of this is optional and editable anytime.
• The content you create: tasks, categories, trips, events, books, and financial transactions you enter. This is manual entry only — we never connect to your bank accounts.
• Group info: if you join or create a group, your group membership, chosen nickname, and aggregate activity stats (like a weekly completion count) are visible to other members of that specific group. Your actual task list is never shared with group members — only summary numbers.
• Notification data: if you enable push notifications, we store the technical subscription details needed to send them (not tied to your phone number or any personal contact info).
• AI feature usage: if you use the "Generate" feature, the description you type is sent to Anthropic (the company behind Claude) to generate suggestions. We don't send your other personal data along with it.
• Billing info: if you subscribe to Satin Privé, payment is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number — we only know your subscription status (active, canceled, etc.).

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run this app, each only for the specific job below:

• Supabase — database and account storage
• Vercel — hosting the app itself
• Stripe — payment processing for Satin Privé
• Anthropic — powers the optional "Generate" AI feature

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else for advertising or marketing purposes.

How your data is protected

Your data is stored in a database with row-level security — meaning the database itself enforces that your data is only ever readable by you (or, for group stats, in aggregate by people in your own group). Passwords aren't used at all; sign-in happens via a one-time emailed link.

Your choices

You can edit or remove most of your profile information anytime from the app. To delete your account and all associated data entirely, contact us (below) and we'll take care of it.

Children's privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under that age.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
